Connect invoicing software to Crownbeam

Learn which invoicing software is connected to Crownbeam and how to connect other software via the API.

Written by Andreas Gruber

Which invoicing software is connected

For labs, Crownbeam is directly connected to these invoicing programs:

  • isiLab

  • CRM Dental

  • Softdent

Through the connection, order data from Crownbeam goes straight into your invoicing software. You don't have to enter it a second time. The connection starts from your invoicing software: it retrieves the order data from Crownbeam via the Crownbeam API. That is why the connection also works if your invoicing software is installed locally in your lab.

Note: Crownbeam does not replace your invoicing software. You keep writing your invoices there as usual.

How to connect isiLab, CRM Dental or Softdent

The connection to isiLab, CRM Dental or Softdent is set up by the manufacturer of your invoicing software. Contact your manufacturer and ask them to set up the connection with Crownbeam:

How to connect other invoicing software

You connect other invoicing software through the open Crownbeam REST API. To do this, you create an API user in Crownbeam and give it exactly the permissions the connection needs. The connection on your software's side is usually built by a developer. How to create the API user is described in Set up and use the Crownbeam API. You find the API documentation at app.crownbeam.com/api.

Note: Crownbeam doesn't notify your software of new orders on its own. Instead, your software retrieves the data from the API at regular intervals.

FAQs

Which invoicing software does Crownbeam work with?

Crownbeam is directly connected to isiLab, CRM Dental and Softdent. The order data goes to your invoicing software, and you write the invoice there as usual. You can connect any other software via the REST API.

Do I have to set up the connection to my invoicing software myself?

You don't set up the connection to isiLab, CRM Dental or Softdent yourself in Crownbeam. You contact the manufacturer of your invoicing software and ask them to set up the connection with Crownbeam. If your invoicing software isn't directly connected, you connect it via the REST API.

My invoicing software isn't on the list. Can I still connect it?

Even invoicing software that isn't directly connected can be linked through the open Crownbeam REST API. You create an API user for this, and a developer builds the connection. How to create the API user is described in Set up and use the Crownbeam API.
