How to send an order to a partner lab

You can send any order you already have to a partner lab. In doing so, you become the practice yourself: the restoration is ordered directly from the partner lab's product catalog.

  1. Open the order you want to outsource and click the three-dot icon in the order menu.

  2. Select Send to partner.

Order menu with Send to partner highlighted in red and an arrow to the dialog below. Patient name, practitioner name, address and order number already blurred.
  3. In the Partner field, choose the partner lab you want. You can decide what gets copied along: Copy indications, Copy additional instruction, Copy files and Copy lab instruction.

  4. Click Create order.

Note: The restoration data from the original order is copied over automatically, and you land directly in the summary. Use Back to adjust the indication, material, or files before ordering.

  5. In the summary, select a Treatment date. Without a treatment date, the order can't be placed — the Order now button shows a warning icon.

  6. Click Order now.

Summary view with Draft status, empty Treatment date field (highlighted in red) and the Order now button with warning icon (highlighted in red). Patient name, practitioner name and order numbers already blurred.

Important: Only once you click Order now is the order actually placed with the partner lab. Before that, it's only a draft and not yet visible to the partner lab.

Once placed, you'll see the order with partner status "Ordered" in your Outsourced Orders dashboard (reachable via Dashboards in the navigation), along with the shipping date and return delivery date. At the partner lab, the same order appears like any other newly placed order in their regular home view, with your lab shown as the practice.

Navigation Dashboards → Outsourced Orders (highlighted in red) and the dashboard table with Partner status, Shipping date and Date of return. Pat. Last Name and order ID already blurred.
