Learn how to set up a lab-floor view of Crownbeam on a TV or monitor, with automatic page refresh.

What you need

  • A TV

  • A PC or laptop with Google Chrome, connected to the TV

How to set up the lab-floor view

  1. Connect your PC or laptop to the TV and open Google Chrome.

  2. In Chrome, go to app.crownbeam.com and log in.

  3. Navigate to the view in Crownbeam you want to show on the TV — e.g. the dashboard or the order list.

  4. Adjust the zoom level in Chrome so the text is easy to read. Click the three dots in the top right and set the zoom level as needed.

  5. Install the Chrome extension Easy Auto Refresh from the Chrome Web Store. Search for "Easy Auto Refresh" in the Chrome Web Store and click Add to Chrome.

  6. Open the extension and set the refresh interval you want.

  7. Click Start — the page now reloads automatically.

An interval of 180 seconds (3 minutes) or longer is recommended for lab-floor use — that way the view stays current without refreshing too often.

Mini PCs, which are already available on Amazon for under €200, work well for this use case.
